PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. --The 9th annual Duryea Days kicks off June 21 in Peoria Heights.

There will be live music Friday night and all day Saturday at Tower Park, including the classic car show on Saturday.

News 25's own Lee Hall will be doing his Elvis show Saturday at 4 p.m.

This year, the event is expanding just down the street to Heritage Square. There you can find vendor booths, music, a dunk tank and a bags tournament during the day on Saturday.

Committee member Carolyn Catton says, "We really felt that it was important that we expand because we have such a great venue here at Heritage square that we needed to expand it for the entire merchant community to be involved as well as to be able to offer more activities."

Duryea Days kick off June 21, at 5 p.m. at Tower Park. On June 22, the festival runs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., but only until 5 p.m. at Heritage Park.

All proceeds will be donated to the Peoria Heights Police Department to cover the costs of the new K-9 unit.
