PEORIA, Ill. -- The wait is over for Joe's Crab Shack on the Peoria Riverfront.

Employees spent much of Thursday prepping food, as the restaurant is set to re-open Friday at 11 a.m.

A scaffolding walkway was installed Thursday to allow employees and customers access to an existing bridge to the business.

Developer Mike Wisdom says it was necessary to avoid further loss in revenue.

The temporary walkway also allows people to access the Chamber of Commerce.

Water Street, between Main and Liberty, has also been re-opened.
