PEORIA, Ill. -- A Peoria Circuit Court jury has reached a verdict in the trial of Daventae Jordan, but on only one of the counts facing the 23-year-old Peorian.
Jordan is charged with mob action and four counts of murder for shooting 19-year-old Adrian Ortega. Ortega was shot in June 2010 at his home.
The jury sent a note saying it had reached a verdict on the mob-action charge, but not on the counts of murder. Jordan is one of three men, along with Curtis Taylor and James Reed, who are charged with Ortega's killing.
At the time of his arrest, Police said they believed Jordan was the one who pulled the trigger, while the others assisted.
The jury in the Jordan case resumes deliberations Tuesday.
