Yule Like Peoria Walk

For the 19th year, downtown Peoria held the Yule Like Peoria Walk About this evening.

The event began with the traditional tree lighting ceremony of the courthouse plaza.

The walk about provides individuals the chance to explore downtown business with family and friends.

Individuals could explore the evenings festivities by foot or by taking the free trolly.

One of the nights popular events was the ice sculpture carving done by the heart of illinois chefs association.

<"My wife and I have been coming down here for several years to see the various exhibits, the ice sculpture is something we've always enjoyed....We just enjoy coming down here and walking around in the cold weather and enjoy the scenery and enjoy the time of the year">

Approximately 30 businesses were open this evening, all of which included their own entertainment.
