MIAMI, FL. -- This is a class assignment in architecture, although swimming lessons might be a prerequisite.
The assignment: build shoes capable of walking on water - and then make it to the other side of a 175-foot lake on campus.
Getting across the lake would get students an "A".
The first team to get across also wins $500 and major bragging rights.
About 25 percent of the teams didn't make it across without getting wet.
The fastest time..about a minute...and the student who did it said the trick is strong legs as well as floating shoes.
