People in downtown Vancouver had a wilderness encounter Monday without ever leaving the city streets.
A little black bear hitched a ride on a garbage truck into downtown, bringing traffic to a halt.
Conservation officials think the bear's journey started in a dumpster in north Vancouver.
After some time, wildlife officers tranquilized the animal to be taken back to the wilds north of the city.
