CHICAG0, IL. -- That's right, the windy city has another big art project going on. In this case, it's sustainable art.
Imagine a 12 foot tall chia pet!
There are 15 heads in all, staggered along Michigan Avenue between the Chicago River and Roosevelt road.
The sculptures are designed to make people think about how they can be green in their everyday lives.
The heads are made with recycled aluminum and steel and sustainable concrete materials. All of the greenery and plant materials were donated.
And yes, the company that makes chia pets is also taking part in this project.
A mini green chia planter will be available exclusively in Chicago at a cost of $19.95.
All the proceeds from the chia pets goes to charity.
