NEW ZEALAND -- Let's face's not exactly exhilarating to travel by plane. By the time you get your seat and stow the luggage, you're ready to sleep.

The folks at Air New Zealand came up with their own way to get passenger's attention…with a little help from their friends from middle earth.

Director Peter Jackson's movie "The Hobbit" - filmed in New Zealand - provided inspiration for the safety video.

Cabin Crew dressed as characters from the film give the safety demonstrations: things like where to stow luggage, and how to get your pony off the plane in an emergency.

Customers who pay close attention can enter to win a trip for two to New Zealand.

In the past, the airline has made safety videos featuring New Zealand's rugby team, rapper Snoop Dogg and cabin staff wearing nothing but body paint.
