HONG KONG -- A big crowd for Hong Kong's first soapbox race over the weekend.
The folks at "red bull" --which sponsored the event-- said creativity and showmanship were what they wwere looking for -- not speed.
Food seemed to be a recurring theme.
There was the "hot pot" car decorated with shrimp, bacon and squid.
There was a car sponsored by a butcher shop with meat hanging from hooks on the sides.
Most contestants said they spent more time on decorating their vehicle than on the mechanical aspects of racing...like steering and braking.
The winners will get a free trip to macau to see a formula three race.
