Skunks are usually nocturnal. You may never see one. Smelling one is a different matter.

But things are different for the folks in Sacramento, California, where skunks are invading the city by the hundreds - all with one goal in mind - they are looking for love....and your food, but mostly they're just looking for each other.

Yes, skunk love is in the air, it's Steve Anderts' job to snatch up these love birds...or skunks.

The licensed animal trapper spends 90 percent of his work day rounding up skunks.

Andert says sometimes a female skunk will spray a male. It's her version of a "Dear John" letter.

And skunks will stop at nothing to get to the other side of the road...if askunk of the opposite sex is there.
