Singer/Songwriter Matthew West's song "Welcome Back to Hope" has an Emmy Nomination for "outstanding music and lyrics."
West wrote the song as a response to the story of Dax Locke, a Central Illinois boy who died a Leukemia.
A TV-movie "One Last Christmas" featured the story of Dax Locke, whose parents asked neighbors to put up Christmas lights early, so their child -- critically ill -- could see the holiday season early.
The Emmy Award winners will be announced on September 23rd, live on ABC.
Matthew West's song is one of four pieces in contention.
