GDANSK, POLAND -- The wild pig problem in Gdansk, Poland is so bad, the mayor has issued "shoot on sight" orders.
First, you have to hire someone with a gun.
The wild pigs aren't afraid of people --obviously -- and they can be dangerous.
G'dansk is a city of 450-thousand people...and these animals have moved right in.
Feral pigs are prolific breeders, and females can have several litters with up to a dozen piglets a year.
Females and their piglets live in family groups, and there's a danger the sows could attack.
Only legal hunters in Gdansk are authorized to shoot wild boars, so civilians who want to kill the animals have to hire a hunter. According to National Geographic, wild pigs now live on every continent except Antarctica.
