JARVENPAA, FINLAND -- Here's proof that a creative mind and idle hands will find a use for lawnmowers, even in winter. Welcome to lawnmower racing on ice.
Finland held its third annual winter grand prix. Lawnmower racing is a British sport, which has now gained popularity in other countries.
In the three hour race, drivers from Estonia, Luxembourg, and England duke it out over the 600 meter course.
The team from Estonia took the top prize, clocking in with 136 laps, which means they went just about 51 miles in three hours, or a blistering 16.9 miles an hour.
