This vehicle has a new owner...

If you recognized that as the Lostus Esprit from the James bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me", you know its value. Amazingly, at one time, it one time it wasn't worth much at all.

Now, the famous submarine car is expected to sell for a million to a million and a half dollars.

This is actually a fully functional submarine ---so it's not really road-worthy. After being used in the James Bond movie, the Lotus Esprit was shipped to the U.S. After a publicity tour, it was stored in a locker in Long Island, New York.

In 1989, after the rent on the unit had not been paid, and the contents were put up "blind" at public auction. A local couple who bought the lot for $100 were surprised to find the iconic 007 submarine car hidden underneath blankets.

They're sure to get a more-than-reasonable return on their investment.
