This female Ruby-Throated hummingbird has been spotted several times over the past couple of years. I have never been able to capture an image of it until now. About a week ago I was trimming a rose bush in the garden next to some hostas that were in full bloom, when I heard a buzzing sound. I thought it was a bee. When I looked to find the bee, and to my surprise it was not a bee. It was this female hummingbird looking straight at me. It was so close to me I could hear its wings flapping as it hovered in front of me. It was amazing!
