The Bridge was built between 1905-1915 to replace an old covered wooden bridge. Located along the many highlights of the Spoon River Drive. The Bridge, which is one of the only iron bridges left in the Midwest, has been closed to vehicular traffic for many years and is now closed to foot traffic due to wood planking that has rotted and needs replaced. See how to save the bridge by looking at www.eaglepublications.com/thisweek/1190996411_19264.pdf
