Cpl. Donald C. Rogers with Military Scrap Book

Cpl Donald C. Rogers served in WWII, and was awarded the two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars and a Silver Star as well as is recognized by the National Jewish Congress as a Liberator of the Nazi Concentration Camps. Before passing away in his sleep on the evening of Thanksgiving Day November 28, 2005, he personally had handed his son Thomas W. Rogers his personal Military Photo Scrap Book, a large rare Military Map and many other of his prized belongings as well as Medals in early 2003.
This Veteran EARNED the Right to pass on his Memenotoes to whomever he chose too. But during Thomas W. Rogers divorce in 2003 which ended in 2004, those items, including the wonderful Military Scrapbook shown in this photo were kept from him by his exwife. To this date, even though many other of his late father's Military items were recovered, this wonderful Photograph Album remains kept from his reach, as does a huge framed MIlitary Map of where his father's Division had been during the war. This is Non-Exceptable and a Shame on such Authorities which have allowed this to continue.
We HONOR OUR VETERANS every year, and yet who steps forward to protect the Honor and Memory of those Veteran's Children who scream out in emotional pain when betrayed?
Thomas W. Rogers bought a home from his In-Laws in January of 1992, but in the spring of 2003 he learned the Contract for Deed had been shredded. When he became Emotionally Disrought and yes, Angry, a Restraining Order kept him from these belongings. Where was Justice? Where were all these individuals who step forward to Honor Veterans? According to Mr. Thomas W. Rogers, everyone told him they were just photo's, things, and unimportant. Image that, Historical Account of his Father, a Veteran who was Awarded the Silver Star for risking his life in WWII to save the URFT RIVER DAM on February 9, 1945 which saved countless American and Allied lives that would have been killed if the Germans had been allowed to successfully destroy the damn. The destruction of that stratigical damn would have meant flooding the valley below where countless American and Allied Soldiers would have been drowned. Cpl. Donald C. Rogers EARNED THE RIGHT, to give his precious Historical Mementoes to and Nobody has the right to keep any of such items other the son he chose to entrust them to. Even though Thomas W. Rogers battled to get back his Father's Items, as well as other Family Heirlooms, both at risk of his personal freedom and in the courts, nobody views these items as important enough to bother with it. This Historically important wonderful family heirloom is in the hands of a Jehovas Witness, of whom don't believe in even flying an American Flag. It is a Shame upon every single person in the Community of Deer Creek, the County, State of Illinois and Country that this item is allowed to be kept out of the hands of the son that Cpl. Donald C. Rogers personally entrusted it too.
