Always a good sign when you see juvenile eagles. This one was in a tree along the Illinois River in Chillicothe yesterday. The head and tail feathers turn white between 4 and 5 years old. The beak of a very young eagle is black. As they age, the eyes and beak become yellow. I actually saw 3 juveniles yesterday.
