These pictures were taken the day after Christmas at Bernadotte, IL. Even though the river ahead of the dam appears to be frozen, the water still runs over the dam. The old iron bridge is no longer used. There has been talk of taking it down but the residents of Fulton County will fight to keep it. Canadian geese winter on the Spoon River and are usually found around the bridge. Take time to visit the beauty that Spoon River has to offer....you won't be sorry.
