It was a beautiful day yesterday to walk along the Illinois River. I was looking for eagles but saw only geese and gulls. As these geese survey the scene they can see ice floats in every direction. Sea gulls were floating downriver on chunks of ice. The birds all seemed to be having a grand old time.
