I took this photo yesterday afternoon on Sugar Creek just behind our office on the west side of Bloomington. This magnificent and apparently lost bird hung around for several hours before moving on. As they have become more common along the Illinois River, it was a treat to have this one pass though Bloomington-Normal and sit still long enough for me to capture this photo.
