For immediate release: An informal coalition of citizens from central Illinois wishes to announce a fundraising drive to support saving the home of the Holtermann family based in El Paso, IL. “Help the Holtermanns” will leverage the network and strengths of El Paso, Peoria, Bloomington-Normal and the surrounding areas to raise $100,000 to benefit the family. The Holtermanns are a family not unlike many others that got behind on mortgage payments during the recession. The aspiration of the organizers is to raise enough money to allow the family to buy back their house, or a similar one in the area. Donations will be gathered through mail and online giving, as well as part of events organized around the area in February.
