Pat Bartolomucci is my father. When I was 11 and my brother was 12, my parents decided they had enough love and resources to reach out to other children. My dad led the charge in the adoption of my sister. Having three children at home, my dad worked to provide for our family through years at Caterpillar. However, his work never took precedence over his children. He not only attended our various sporting and extra-curricular activities, he became the president of the local recreation association for years, playing a key role in many children's summer activities. Now, while his youngest child just turned 21, my dad has been able to change roles slightly as he is now "Grampy" to my three children and my brother's two kids. He just recently bought all the kids fishing poles so he can take them fishing at his campsite. He is still the first to cheer on his grandkids in their endeavors, and he loves to give them a good razzing too to make sure they don't get too serious. He is always ready to attend a soccer game or head to Princesses on Ice, if that is where his grandkids will be.
I would like to recognize my dad and his contributions to our family. I feel he is deserving of the "My Dad is Great!" award both as a great father and as a wonderful grandpa. Please consider Pat Bartolomucci in this contest.
Father and Grampy is loved by all!
