This was the 9th season local Peorian Patti Smith sang our National Anthem for the Chicago Cubs @ Wrigley Field Saturday Aug. 20. The Cubs shut out the St. Louis Cardinals 3-0. Patti and her husband Greg drove to Chicago Saturday morning through severe thunderstorms but the rain gave way for a perfect, beautiful afternoon for a Cubs win. Bonus: the Air and Water Show on Lakeshore Drive provided for some fancy jets flying overhead during the game.
