I found this image of the LST in an old WWII scrap book at an estate sale in Germantown Hills ILL. I was supprised to see the Caterpillar Dozer inside the LST, making its way to the beach- head along with a Sherman tank.
So I bought the book. The book also has photos of Wallace station, Upper Free Bridge and a Manatowoc Submarine being barged down the Illinois river during WWII.
