During 4th grade art, the kids were viewing the works of Van Gogh. They were asked to draw there own interpretations of any of his works. Makenzie drew from "Chair" and "Sunflowers". On black paper, she drew with pencil, then she covered the pencil lines with glue, and then painted over it with black. She colored it in with oil pastels. The teacher laminated it and sent it home for Mother's Day (all students made a gift).
I had it framed at Hobby Lobby, and it hangs in my office. Makenzie was almost 10 when she did this. She is now 11, and just starting 6th grade.
Thank you for your time!
