A Mid Illini Conference basketball game between the Pekin Lady Dragons and the Limestone Lady Rockets went down the to wire. After a Limestone player hit 2 free throws to take a 1 point lead with 3 seconds to go, and Pekin having 0 time outs- Maddie Cordts threw an inbound pass to Junior, Katie Powell (#4). Powell took a dribble and tossed the ball from her hip from about the opposite free throw line. The laser-beam shot went right through the hoop as time expired. Pekin won 55-53.
