An Older Juvenile Eagle

ALMOST AN ADULT

This eagle is very close to being an adult. He would be considered an older juvenile (teenager). His eyes and beak will become lighter. His head and tail feathers will become white. Notice his head still has some of the brown that a juvenile has. His feathers are also a little lighter than an adult eagle. It is always good to see eagles that have survived as their death rate is rather high when they are young. He wasn't real sure of himself in certain circumstances -- like when I got my tripod out of the car. Becoming an adult can take 4 - 5 years with the eagle.
