I saw my first Kestrel today in the country. It is North America's smallest falcon. It is very pretty and one of the most colorful raptors. IT DID NOT LIKE ME OR MY CAMERA!! This bird was fascinating to watch. It goes up in the air and hovers -- moving it's wings very fast and stays in place. Then, all of a sudden it dive bombs to get it's prey.
