Thanks, Patriot Guard Riders

Patriot Guard Riders lead by a Peoria Police car brought Sergeant Douglas Terrel to his parents home today. It was a surprise to the young man who has served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Blocks of streets were lined with large and small flags. Neighbors, friends, strangers, pets etc. were there to welcome Sergeant Douglas Terrel home. It was a happy emotional event.

I first want to thank Sgt. Terrel for serving. I also want to thank the police and the Patriot Guard Riders who pulled off a wonderful American event. I was thrilled to be there and glad to be an American!

I want to thank everyone from Peoria for the welcome home I would have never dreamed of! You guys were all awesome, and I can't thank you enough for what you did for me! It really makes my job easier knowing you are here for us as well.
