The 8th Annual Pat Nohl Life Without Lupus Walk will be held on Sat. August 11 at Eureka Lake in Eureka, IL. The walk is sponsored by the Lupus Foundation of Illinois, Central Illinois Branch. The walk begins at 9:15 am.
For over 30 years, the mission of the Lupus Foundation of America has been to inform, educate, and promote awareness of Lupus, and to support those affected by the disease. The Central Illinois Branch supports area Lupus patients.
Lupus is a Chronic, potentionally life threatening autoimune Disease that can cause damage to virtually any organ in the body, especially the skin, joints, blood, kidneys and heart.
Of the nearly 2 million Americans diagnosed with lupus, 65,000 are in the state of Illinois. 90% of those affected with Lupus are women diagosed in the prime of their lives.
