I had a Karmann Ghia many. many years ago, and it was my most favorite car. In about 2002 I came across the Ghia pictured for sale. It wasn't running but the sheet metal and body were in excellent condition. I knew I could do the mechanical work (it's fun for me) and wouldn't have to worry much about body work (except painting), at which I'm not the best. It took two years to get it running and road worthy. There are still some details to finish, namely the interior. It has been lots of fun working on this project.
