This 1967 Chevy Impala was my graduation gift/project from my dad in my Sophmore year at Washington High School. It actually ended up becoming a 3-year long father-son, frame-off, restoration project! We were able to finish the car my senior year and it is almost completely original, with a modern FM stereo and front disk brakes being the only improvement! We dubbed the car Reborn '67, as it has been Reborn! The car has been driven all over the state to car shows and cruise-ins including joining the Hot Rod Power Tour for part of their journey through Central Illinois! After owning the car for 14 years now, it still only gets 10 mpg with the V8 engine, but is the one car the entire family is able to get in and enjoy!
