In the late afternoon on 9/20 I heard an unfamiliar chirping and saw a blue jay on our garage roof. I knew I had a rare opportunity so I bolted for my camera. By the time I grabbed my camera he had jumped down into the yard and then flew up to the birdbath. I carefully opened the window and took a few pictures. The zoom made it a little blurry; I was about 10 feet away with a 4x zoom lens.
