We've had a pair of cardinals for 6 years in our yard. They nest in the exact same place each year and we get to see them feeding their young. Two years ago I was present to see all three juveniles fledge -- the least strong one landed on a branch and stayed there all night. Then we could hear the parents calling them every day to help them.
