A burning car was found in the parking lot of Sheridan Village around 2 in the afternoon. At first it looked like the car was just overheated, but the color of the smoke, the smell, and the fact that the police officer had a fire extinguisher changed that notion. At first he tried to fight the fire with the extinguisher out of his squad car but called for backup. 2 fire trucks arrived and quickly put it out. The car left on a tow truck around 2:45. No one was hurt.
