Pekin St.Joseph's Sends Five to State

Pekin St. Jopseh's qualified two seventh grade boys and three eigth grade boys for the IESA Class A State finals at East SIde on May 9 & 10. This is quite an accomplishment for such a small school. The students included 7th graders Zachery Pogioli who placed 11th in the 400M dash and Colin Honan who finished 13th in the long jump, and 22nd in the 200M dash. 8th grader Ben Coyer finished in 10th place in the 800M dash. 8th graders Anthony Pogioli, Justin Fletcher, and 7th graders Colin Honan, and Zachery Pogioli also participated in the 8th grade boys 4X200M relay, but a fumbled hand off cost them exstensive time in the event.
