While walking around the lagoon in Pekin this afternoon, I saw this Canada goose land on the wooden shingles of the boathouse in Mineral Springs Park. While I stood there, watching and snapping pictures, he awkwardly climbed to the peak. Once there, he looked around for a minute then started down the other side. The angle was a bit too steep, however, so he took flight before he could fall into the water.
This goose was very serious about reaching the top of the boathouse in Mineral Springs Park in Pekin, Illinois.
