Allegiant Evacuation

Allegiant Emergency Evacuation

I was on the Allegiant flight in Las Vegas today, going down the runway, when we heard a strange sound and immediately the plane was stopped. The pilot and flight attendants began telling us to leave all our belongings and hurry to the exits to evacuate the plane. I grabbed my camera and went down the slide to begin taking pictures. There were people that were sick and others were frightened. The fire department, police and rescue squads all came within minutes to take care of any problems that may have come up. We stood there not knowing whether the plane was going to blow up or what was going to happen. Soon people brought water because of the extreme heat and then they shuttled us back to the airport. Within hours we were back on another flight and they told us we would all be receiving a refund for the flight. It was amazing how calm most of us kept in the heat of this crisis. Allegiant handled things with care and concern for all the passengers and everyone got taken care of. I will continue to fly Allegiant after experiencing this today. I am attaching some of the pictures I took. I have others. You may use them. It would be nice if you mention that I took them. Joni Gilbertson (309) 241-8209
