Local racer, Mitch Stein of Morton, competed in Moto-ST's National Endurance Roadracing Event at Barber Motorsports Park outside of Birmingham,AL July 18th-20th. It was a SPEED weekend at the Porsche 250. Racing included Moto-ST motorcycles, GrandAm Rolex Sports Cars Series, Koni Challenge Series, Skip Barber National Racing, and the Mustang Challenge. Riding for Mid-Illini Motorsports, based out of Pekin, the team entered 2 bikes into the Moto-ST's ST(lightweight) class. Team MIM finished 5th and 6th in class. This finish propelled the Team MIM into 4th place in overall class series position. Team Mid-Illini Motorsports is also sponsored by Repsol, Maui Jim Sunglasses (Peoria) and Borne Paint (Peoria).
