Promise Keepers & Women of Encouragement

This past weekend around 5,000 Central Illinois men gathered at the Peoria Civic Center to lift up the name of Jesus Christ as well as be challenged and encouraged by great speakers, singers, comedians and brothers.

Saturday morning, a group of very high energy ladies cheered on the men as they entered the Civic Center. These ladies were amazing! For around a hour and a half, they encouraged and made the day of every man who entered. Thank you ladies!

During Promise Keepers a short video was shown of our Mayor, Police Chief and a couple of local pastors who are involved in the 40 Days of Prayer (and Push for Peace events) in the area. Everyone was very excited to hear that so far this year, we have the lowest crime stats in 35 years! To God be the glory!

Push for Peace prayer events continue every week. This week's event is Tuesday evening (8/12) at 6 p.m. We'll meet at the Peoria Police Headquarters (Walnut & Adams) and pray on the streets. Come on and be a part of what God is doing!

Keep it up ladies - and gentlemen. I'm very impressed and this truly show the power of God in all of us.
