My husband and I have four children who dont have family in the area. Grandma Nancy lives in Fairhope Alabama, ( but is an illinois native)so every summer we pack it all in our minivan and off we go. It is an adventure to travel so far with little ones (10, 6,3,& 18 months) but the minute we pull in her driveway and see their sheer joy it is worth all the saving and scrimping we have to do to go. We spent almost every day at the beach this year as the kids couldnt seem to get enough of it. When the day finally came to leave I was the one crying the hardest cause I know it will be another year before Grandma can hold her babies again.
