We loved our vacation visit the coastal town of St. Augustine Florida. St. Augustine is the oldest planned city in the U.S. It is rich in history as well as sites to see. We toured the fort which looks out over the Atlantic coast. There are several square blocks of the original town still existing and thriving with homes, churches and shops. Because the streets are cobblestone and very narrow, tho if you have a smaller sized car, you can drive them. You may decide to take one of the many tours offered. Tours range in interest from a typical trolley ride to the candle light cemetary walk where you may meet ghost of persons long passed. Nearby are public beaches where you can spend the day under your umbrella with a good book, or strolling the sandy shores. If you want a peaceful laid back vacation in Florida, I would recommend a quietly quiant area like this.
