Disappointment was in the air as the balloons could not launch on the first day of the Lincoln Art and Balloon Festival. That is of course until Saturday morning. Around 7:00 am my wife, Sarah, woke me up to see what was happening outside. Normally I would not have been so eager to get up and get outside that early, but the balloons in the sky drew me quickly outside. The hazy conditions made it difficult to catch the vibrant colors of most floating bags of fun. When this particular ballon cruised overhead and several pictures were taken, the unexpected rise from sleep was suddenly worth it.
