Galesburg Police stop rolling meth lab

Galesburg Police made a routine traffic stop last night shortly before 10 P.M. two blocks west of the downtown square. The original intention behind the stop was the suspect was driving without his headlights on. Upon stopping the vehicle the passenger lead police on a short foot chase, after capturing the man both men were placed under arrested.

Upon doing a search of the vehicle police found what they believe to be materials for a rolling meth lab and a fake gun.

One of the men had severe burns on his hands; police say they believe that is a result of the chemicals used to make the drug.

Both men currently sit in the Knox County Jail.
