It all began October 2nd of last year at the age of 31 when I heard the words"YOU HAVE BREAST CANCER"! I thought there must of been some mistake because I was to young for breast cancer let alone a mamogram. Well I was wrong.I not only had one type of cancer I had two.I never known there were different types. I chose to have a bilateral masectomy(removal of both breast).I received 8 rounds of chemo form the wonderful...Illinois Cancer Care.I lost both breasts and every strand of hair on my body and still kept a positive outlook and a smile. I say that it was a blessing for the fact that it woke me up and made me realize that tommorow is not guaranteed and live each day to its fullest. You find that your faith, family and friends is the most important and you don't need to stress the small stuff. I always told myself that there is always someone out there who has it much worse than you.I also have met some wonderful breast cancer sisters through this journey.
Cancer is a Blessing to me!

You're an inspiration! It puts everything in perspective to see someone such as you dealing with adversity in such a positive manner. Our culture focuses so much on external appearances, when true beauty is 100% in one's character.

I admire how you've handled the last year. Many times I've wondered how you've stayed so optimistic and handled everything in the manner that you have. You're an inspiration and I'm so proud of you. Love ya!
