Peoria Jr. Rivermen Win Tournament

The Peoria Jr. Rivermen PeeWee AA hockey team won the Chicago Fury Fall Classic Tournament in Orland Park this past weekend. The PeeWee AA travel team from the Peoria Youth Hockey Association is comprised of some of the better 11 and 12 year old hockey players in Central Illinois. The Junior Rivermen defeated the Green Bay Gamblers 5-4 in sudden death overtime of the championship game to take the title. The winning goal was scored by Andrej Buchko and assisted by Tage Thompson and T.J. Rea.
