My best friend Amber and her family are losing everything that they have worked so hard for their whole life. After 18 years of dedicated employment with the same company Oliverio Avalos lost his job! This happened on September 9th 2008 (my birthday). This family has been through so much together and each of them on their own has had to fase and overcome alot of tragic obsticles. They are state certified foster parents. They are unable to have children of their own so they have taken in their neices and nephew that were taken from their biological parents due to severe abuse and tremendous neglect. But now they are faceing tragic times for the near future.They have started foreclosure on their family home,their water is going to be shut off,their cilco is facing disconnect and they are going to be losing thir vehicle. Oliverio has put in his application for employment at at least 30 different places and not 1 phone call has came in for an interview. He is hispanic and does not speak English very well due to the severity of his accent. And after waiting 6 weeks to hear from unemployment they recieved the news yesterday that the company that he was employed for denied his request for unemployment. so if there is anything that you could possibly due for this outstanding family please air that i am holding a benefit for them @Bartonville Grade School on November 2nd from 2pm to 8pm!!
