For a pumpkin decorating contest at V.I.T. Junior High School, my seventh and eighth grade homeroom decided to theme our class pumpkin as Uncle Sam in correlation to the 2008 election. I have these students for American Government and American History. They have been following the election for about a month now, and we will be holding our own election in the school Tuesday, Novemeber 4th. They created the posters, ballot box, pumpkin, and hat entirely on their own. I am extremely pleased with their results and wanted their efforts to be recognized!
