"Ghosts of Christmas Past" was the theme for this year's annual Chillicothe Santa Parade. Our group portrayed Chilli citizens from the Victorian Age through the 1950's enjoying various holiday actiivities such as cutting down the Christmas tree and ice skating.
And it was sure cold enough to look authentic! THANKS LEE! :D
There were more than 30 parade units featuring festively-garbed children representing our businesses, schools, and scouts; and as always, the award-winning marching IVC Gray Ghosts - plus our terrific grade school bands - who revved up the crowd with rousing holiday music.
Despite the chilly temperature, a huge crowd gathered along the parade route. Kids had their candy-gathering bags at-the-ready!
After the parade, kids and parents enjoyed a visit with Santa, visiting the historic Rock Island Depot museum with it's huge model train layout, and attending Chilli businesses' special events.
Just a great kick-off to the holiday season!
